The Development Institute (DI) incorporated in December 2003, is an African Ghana based non-government, not-for profit development organization with the goal of empowering individuals, organization and communities to facilitate the linkage between micro and macro levels of society for sustainable development.
In Ghana DI is one of the up and coming Ghanaian NGOs. It aims at expanding not only in all regions of Ghana, but also in the neighboring West African countries and elsewhere in Africa. In Ghana the organization is working in the Greater Accra, Volta, Northern and Western regions of Ghana.
Its focus is on sustainable development through building local capacity in environmental and human security, decentralization and governance, natural resource and agriculture enterprises and climate change adaptations, and broadly in Sustainable Development. DI supports its work with policy studies, dialogue, and advocacy facilitating multi-stakeholder platforms.
